Performing Arts All Aboard For Ride Of Lifetime

A BUSINESS incubator aimed at nurturing performing arts opened in the former Railway Institute building in Hunter St yesterday.

Performing Arts Newcastle (PAN) signed a 50-year lease.

PAN predicts that activities planned for the building and related projects will generate 20 direct jobs and as many as 120 associated jobs.

Leasing the building to PAN is one of the Honeysuckle Development Corporation's strategies to support cultural activity in the long-term project.

The 1200 sq metre building is at 544 Hunter St.
